Let the Quagmire begin!
First let me start by congratulating my fellow hubbers, and Americans on the Republican(Big Corporations) side of the campaigns. As well I will give a big shout out to those of the Tea Party (Puppets of Big Corporations) movement. And I would like to offer my condolence to the rest of the country, and as well to the Tea Party (Puppets of Big Corporation) movement.
Movement in this case seems to be such a fitting term, as that is what one does when their full of $h!t. Just like the Tea Party and it's candidates message and promises, Government is to big, ( the only thing that can be big is oil, corporations and well, Texas). We have to lower the deficit ( uh, uhm, duh don't ask me how they just told me to say that). We need to take our ( by our you mean big oil and big corporations right) country back. You do realize the only time it ever was, is, or will be your country is when they pull your strings right?
My you seem bitter
Yeah it seems that way doesn't it, but really I'm not bitter I'm what you would call enlightened again. Now normally enlightenment would tend to be a good thing, unless of course when the light that comes on, sadly only reveals the bars of the cage and the three walls you were, aimlessly wandering around over and over again in search of an exit. And now suddenly realize the hopelessness of your situation and the undeniable fact that you are indeed not free!
Yeah pretty gloomy sounding right, but shouldn't we all feel this way? Was there any victory here for any of us, does this not just lend itself to two more years of why nothing has been accomplished in the first place? The Republicans have spent the last two years with only one sole purpose. And was that purpose boosting the economy, creating jobs, or anything that would actually help America move towards recovery? No, that in fact with help of their puppets ( the Tea party candidates) was the last thing they wanted. Their only goal in any of their actions since 2008 was yesterday 11/2/2010. Congratulations, and Kudos to the Tea Party movement now please, step away from the Tea!
Now I suppose I should go easy on the tea party supporters, after all they will soon realize the handful of candidates they pushed through. Aren't really the new voice of America but merely the same old big oil, big corporate funded voices of the past all shined up with painted nails, a pretty skirt, a stuffed bra and some sparkly glitter. And they will soon need our consoling once they finally get a glimpse of whats under the skirt and realize "oh crap I'm still gonna be taking it up the arse!" Just remember relax and lay there and in a few years they will let you on top for awhile again.
Why the Civil War reference?
I use this reference for a few reasons, the obvious of course being that we all should know that's pretty much what it will be like at this point. As far as getting any policies passed through our Government for the next two years. We can only hope it will not lead to a literal event playing out in our cities as more and more become jobless, homeless and feel hopeless!
The other reason is because after hearing this phrase tossed about here and there by conservatives, and tea party supporters. I simply want to point out the one big fact they seemed to forget and miss about civil war, and that being that as a Country no one wins in a civil war! And with that in mind the words to this song seem to suddenly take on a new ( maybe not so new) meaning at this time period.
"What we've got here is failure to
communicate.
Some men you just can't reach...
So, you get what we had here last week,
which is the way he (Big Corporation) wants it!
Well, he gets it!
Now I don't like it any more than you men."
Look at your young men fighting
Look at your women crying
Look at your young men dying
The way they've always done before
Look at the hate we're breeding
Look at the fear we're feeding
Look at the lives we're leading
The way we've always done before
My hands are tied
The billions shift from side to side
And the wars go on with brainwashed pride
For the love of God and our human rights
And all these things are swept aside
By bloody hands time can't deny
And are washed away by your genocide
And history hides the lies of our civil wars
Did you wear a black armband
When they shot the man
Who said "Peace could last forever"
And in my first memories
They shot Kennedy
I went numb when I learned to see
So I never fell for Vietnam
We got the wall of D.C. to remind us all
That you can't trust freedom
When it's not in your hands
When everybody's fightin'
For their promised land
And
I don't need your civil war
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor
Your power hungry sellin' soldiers
In a human grocery store
Ain't that fresh
I don't need your civil war
Look at the shoes your filling
Look at the blood we're spilling
Look at the world we're killing
The way we've always done before
Look in the doubt we've wallowed
Look at the leaders we've followed
Look at the lies we've swallowed
And I don't want to hear no more
My hands are tied
For all I've seen has changed my mind
But still the wars go on as the years go by
With no love of God or human rights
'Cause all these dreams are swept aside
By bloody hands of the hypnotized
Who carry the cross of homicide
And history bears the scars of our civil wars
"WE PRACTICE SELECTIVE ANNIHILATION OF MAYORS AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS
FOR EXAMPLE TO CREATE A VACUUM
THEN WE FILL THAT VACUUM
AS POPULAR WAR ADVANCES
PEACE IS CLOSER"
Enough said!
Doomsday 2012!
To this I can only say I so hope I am way off here. But I honestly do not see how our economy at this point can handle two more years of the Quagmirethat is most surely ahead. And for all you Obama haters, doubters and naysayers, now would be a good time to pray for him. Pray that he is a better man than those you support! Pray that he does not use their tactics!
I actually have some faith in this, and even more so hope we will now see the change he had hoped for and intended before he was side swiped by Big Money, Big Oil and Big Corporations! But I also fully realize these three will not go down without a fight, but hopefully we as Americans will realize next time they pull the strings, that we indeed are REAL BOYS!
Enjoy some truth!

Maca (Lepidium meyenii): This herbaceous biennial or annual plant is native to the high Andes of Peru is a fused hypocotyl and taproot that is grown for use as a medicinal herb and a root vegetable. Some Spanish names of the plant are maca-maca, ayak chichira, maino and ayak willku. Maca has been grown and used by those in the Andean Mountains for centuries.
According to history maca was used in trade for other lowland tropical foods, like corn, quinoa, papaya, tapioca and rice. There is also evidence it was used as a form of tax payment to the Spanish Imperial. As well often it is cited that it was conumed by Inca imperial warriors before going into battle.
This little root is packed full of nutritional benefits. Making it somewhat of what we could call a natural power bar.
Here are some of whats contained in this little wonder root.
Preperation
In Peru, maca is consumed several ways, and traditionally it is always cooked. It can be freshly roasted in a pit as well and is considered a delicacy when prepared this way. The root may also be mashed and boiled producing a thick, sweet liquid. Or dried and mixed with milk to produce a porridge or mixed with other vegetables and or grains to produce a flour for use in baking. The leaves are also used in raw salads.
With a growing demand in the suppliment industry there has been an expanse in the production of maca. With the main product being maca flour, which is ground from the dry, hard roots. The supplement industry uses both the flour and the dry roots in different types of processing and the concentration of the extracts.
What studies have shown
In many studies done on Peruvian woman there has been a reported 60% increase in sexual drive. Other studies have shown that maca reduced enlarged prostate glands in mice. And in some clinical trials have shown maca extracts have also increased libido and improve semen quality in men.
Though maca does not contain hormones, it is presumed that the hormone normalizing effects are due to the root's unique nutritional profile, that provides optimum levels of the nutrients that the body's endocrine system utilizes. Healthy foods, cold and flu fighters
The facts about colds and the flu.
First off colds and the flu are infections caused by a virus not bacteria. A cold may only last a few days while it may take a week or more to get over the flu or influenza. And sadly some people develop life threatening conditions from the flu, like pneumonia.
Who is most at risk? First of all the viruses are constantly changing over time. This makes all of us susceptible over our lifetimes to some form of the virus. Those with weakened immune systems due to poor nutrition and or high stress are most at risk.
Symptoms include some or all of the following:
A good start to your day, can help chase colds and flu away.
A study conducted in Wales of a hundred people showed that those who ate breakfast in turn had fewer colds. So if possible every season but especially during cold and flu season make it a common habit to have a healthy breakfast.
Some good things to try our a glass orange juice, whole grain cereals or two slices whole grain toast, strawberries, grapefruit, tangerine, mangoes, guavas, lowfat yogurt (the live cultures are very helpful) and some cut pieces of cantaloupe all these will do wonders.
Of course the main reason for these choices is for the vitamin C, the selenium and the live cultures all which assist our immune systems. As well the vitamin C does wonders for our energy level a much needed boost for the fatigue during a cold or flu.Studies show that although vitamin c may not prevent a cold it has been shown to shorten the length of time you may suffer from one. Also studies have shown that the live cultures in yogurt when taken regularly shortened the numbers of colds in those studied. And as well in studies of those with higher levels of selenium the suffered less dramatic effects from the flu than those with low levels. Selenium is abundant in most grains and thus the importance of whole grain cereal or bread.

Ways to ease discomfort.
Now lets look at some things we can do during a cold for relief.
•Ginger. A fragrant herb ginger can help your body be rid of virus. Simmer two to three slices of fresh root of ginger in about 12 oz of water for about 10 to 15 minutes for a smooth refreshing remedy.
•Chicken soup. The healing power of chicken soup has finally been recognized by health experts. Researchers found that the hot liquid can soothe your sore throat and clear your nasal passages. As well it has been found to relieve upper respiratory tract infection symptoms as it reduces inflammation.
•Hyssop. or hyssopus officinalis though its unsure its relation to the hyssop of the Bible. It has been used for centuries as a decongestant. It can be prepared as a tea to loosen phlegm or gargled to ease a sore throat. You can buy ready made tea bags of hyssop at most health stores and if you want added flavor try a little honey.
•Pineapple juice and honey. If you have a severe cough your throat can become very scratchy and sore feeling. Try mixing 8-10 oz of warm pineapple juice with 2-3 teaspoons of honey for a soothing delicious drink.
•Water, water and more water. This is the most important one, drink plenty of water. Whether low grade or high grade the fact you have a fever means you are losing fluids so you need to replace them. Water will also keep your throat moist as to prevent cracking which would let viruses in. Also you will want to drink enough water to flush your system so you should have at least 8 glasses or enough to run your urine till its clear.
Another good suggestion to help calm yourself and your symptoms is by taking herbs such as echinacea, thyme, horehound and elderberry all which can be found in your local health store. Also for relief of that congestion try a few drops of eucalyptus oil added to a bowl of steaming water and place a towel over your head and inhale the vapors. You might continue to feel stuffy for about a half hour but be patient. Eucalyptus loosens mucus making it easier to cough up so you should soon be breathing with ease.
Also remember since the flu virus is constantly changing it is important when possible to get a yearly flu shot when available.
Again until next tip happy and healthy eating!
